Job Search Techniques - Using a systematic approach to finding a job in 90 days

job search is a challenging task, even in better times. Becomes increasingly difficult when the economy is in recession and there are fewer jobs available, with more people to compete. This requires that the job hunter to be more creative and use all the tools and resources available to them efficiently and effectively.

One way to increase your chances of being able to adopt a systematic approach to job search. WhatI think that from a system? Well, what I'm talking about is using the same techniques that professional sellers to sell their products. If you think you're a product and the end result of your activities should always have a contract with an employer. If one accepts this premise, the execution of a process to achieve this goal is very simple. I believe I have days when you step-by-step process 90, is that you get a job in The secret is to commitand adhere to this plan, a rigid schedule, specific activities and includes a commitment to follow through. These are the same components critical to the success of any goal you are trying to achieve.

I hope that this system will work for you, why is my daughter Danielle is a graduate of the University is working this year. Article dream job could be within 45 days the application of these techniques discussed.

I am aProfessional Sales Manager. With "professional sales manager, I say that I treat as a profession of sales, not just a task. Really a profession you to train and continually update your skills and tools if you want to succeed.

I noticed that a job is to find very similar to the sale is not every day I try, services, sell products of our society.

• You must send a series of information such as product descriptions,Data sheets and leaflets to try to get a prospects attention. In the case of job hunters and resume and cover letter

• You must follow with phone calls, notes, e-mail and other forms of communication to start a dialogue with your future customers (employers.)

• You try to make them aware of the need for your products (skills and experience)

• You need to differentiate themselves from competitors(Other candidate)

• You must convince them that your needs are met sales (the ability to do the job)

· You can call numbers will be a numbers game: 100 points and you get 10 calls you get three interviews to get a job (maybe)

• The success comes from three things: hard work, timing and luck, hard work is very important.

So when both try to sell something, you should go to "work" andYour new job is to find a job. I think if we do the work and follow the plan I outline below, you can close the sale (ie to find a job.)

The general plan is:

Commit to work "eight hours a day. Consists;

· Work on a "temporary work" to pay living expenses to

· Volunteer or other activities that you get to know a profession, industry or particular employer may be interested in helpingOthers

the "a job" selling system Yourself to find permanent employment • With.

The day starts at 8:00 and end at 5:00, five days a week, except for temporary work or volunteer position requires time, during the evening or on weekends. The objective is, sat down in a week 40 hours, which includes all three of these activities.

You should try to max out the time spent on temporary employment and volunteering. One gives you the money and the other seesIt is with the experience and exposure to potential employers.

If you are not working or volunteering, you must do the same things, not all days of sales person:

· The Research potential employers (we're looking for customers)

· Sites Visit job seeking tips and tricks (a professional job to educate yourself as you would for any other profession)

· To improve your resume or customizing aemployment opportunities specifically (we create marketing materials)

· Send CV (we send letters and brochures to inform people about our commercial offers)

• Apply by companies on web pages (we respond to requests for quotation)

· Creating follow-up calls (we do ... a lot!)

· Go on interviews (we have customers and prospects meetings)

This is where you need further assistance:

· Information on Companies andcontacts with companies that contact with tools such as Linkedin, Jigsaw, etc. ..

· Review and processing of your resume, cover letter, etc. ..

• Providing guidance on interview techniques and business negotiations.

· Keeping focus on track with your activities and results.

Council ° Try to help you manage your time and be more efficient (ie blind copy to itself every email you send so you can reuse and not forcreate everything from scratch.)

· Preparation of plans and strategies Interview (research company, commuting times, a list of questions for the interview, etc. ..)

· See debriefing after each interview, how to improve

The resources required to support these products are readily available and will be discussed in future articles.

The plan comprises a specific objective, a set of objectives and activities have had a calendar.

The aim is toFind a job in 90 days (the fact accepted that this may take a long time)

The goal is to get at least one interview a week after the first 3 weeks.

The daily program of activities was as follows:

· Research and gather information on 10 The objective of the employer

· Sending curriculum in 10

· Contact your on-line to 10 potential employers

· Make follow up calls 10

Do not worry if this sounds overwhelming. Once you start workingand this research tools, a library of your CV and cover letter and create a workflow that will be easy. This methodology is classic sales 101 and has been proven over and over again. It may take some time, but it will be successful.

During this first week, all you have to do is to hit 10 employers in the local area to find. You need to find to determine their contact information, prove that you are with the Communication and will do some research on their website. ByEnd of the week you have a list of 50 companies. However, not all the information needed to contact to apply for a position. This is not a problem. As a seller, I have a portfolio of tools that I use, developed to identify specific contacts within an organization. I share this with you in future articles.

Monday ', starting next week to send 10 HP and apply to 10 companies each day online. You also need another 10 operations researchand add to your list. The third day he has sent 30 questions and applied online to 30 companies. You must first call the company you applied previously for two days. I gathered together a series of phone scripts for you so you know what you mean when you get someone on the phone.

The process must be repeated every day. Initially there may be little or no response from the company that contacted you. But during the third weekshould begin to hear the results of perspectives. E 'is often a polite e-mail, phone call or a letter explaining that no vacancies exist at present but will keep your information on file. Sometimes the employer for more background information, skills or experience is to ask. On some occasions can come in a "group interview" which may be as many as 30 candidates had to be present. Do not be discouraged by this. Part ofProcess.

Soon you will begin receiving calls for interviews. This should be encouraging, although some of the possibilities of positions that are not interested in a variety of reasons, including location, industry, company or specific Duties. However, you should go in every interview or applied for the position or practice and perfect your interview skills.

In Week 5, it should be clear that the program begins to pay. This Now he is having contacted over 150 companies, followed by most of them start and always recalls and requests for interviews on a regular basis. I think this is the result of what I call "Patty" cow theory. When we have enough information about themselves when the local economy, people start to step "into hamburger and begin to react.

I think it will successfully achieve your goal of finding a job at one with yourself that sell> Job "system for the following reasons:

• The structure of the process provides a framework within which the research work could be managed systematically and regularly.

• Do not we have specific objectives and processes that drive the process and keeps you focused.

· Measures specifications are needed every day to keep you accountable.

· A structure, repeatable process made the task easier, youDone. This reduces the time required for the tasks that I encourage you to do everything.

· Results Avenue in a few weeks you will be motivated to continue to implement the plan.

• There will be more comfortable and confident when things you've done before and are familiar with the. There is a significant change in your communication skills and confidence level for several weeks for this process.

• The resources that I have identified andduring the process to be used will help you stay focused and provide good advice and tips for creating resume, cover letter writing, the development of scripts and improve your telephone interview behavior

I firmly believe that if this process for each job. The main elements are:

• The process must be a job wants to be treated. Your task is to find work.

· It is a permanent process. You wake up every morning knowing exactly what you needThese procedures are for your job search.

Job search during a recession - 5 things you can do now to get better results

As a coach, I recommend the following strategies for my clients who are in career transition. These strategies are effective at any time, but especially when the market is hard work.

Network, network, network! Since most networks work following the discovery, I can not stress enough how important it is. The network can mean many things: traditional individual trade events, more informal meetings, networking and online volunteering. Witha combination of methods is ideal as a rule. In reality, network, in one or more years should be done, and not only find a job. This will have in place of this research are available to help an established network, when the time comes for the job.

Contact family and friends. As a variant of the network, send an email to your family and friends, simply stating that you are looking for a new location, what kind ofPosition you are seeking and a brief summary of his professional experience / background. (You also submit your resume, but Avoid automatically fixing the original email. It may depend on how presumptuous.) Although no one knows your friends and relatives of all the possibilities, often try to talk to other people to know who link may have contacts for you.

Consider temporary work. I have a coaching client of the time work began a few months ago, and subsequentlyoffered a full-time work at this company. Temporary work is a good idea for several reasons. For example, where temps usually preferred to full-time jobs available. It 's also a good way to try to see a particular organization, if it is really a job that you want full-time.

Conduct informational interviews. Research Organisation in an industry that has an interest and request an informational interview with someone who works there. This could be the manResources Director, CEO, paintings, etc. The idea of informational interviews is not to seek a job, but only to obtain information about the organization and / or industry. Similarly temps that gave preference to full-time jobs, we have an advantage in this situation because they now have personally met and are known for their interest and initiative.

Take care of yourself. This is a step often overlooked in the process, butextremely important. If you plan to exercise regularly, proper nutrition and enough sleep, reduce stress, which is a long way to improve the physical and mental well-being, and in turn help Outlook and attitude in finding a new job. So the whole process much easier.

Telephone Interview Etiquette: How To Approach A Phone Job Interview

The phone interview is usually by hiring managers to screen potential candidates, instead of loading all of them used for a long face interviews.

The telephone interview is used to meet then cull the list of potential candidates to a smaller group of people that meet certain criteria and appears to be suitable for the task.

In my experience, the employer, I have to use the telephone interviews, this is often done work for two main reasons.

First, theycould be the nature of the hiring manager to start with a large group of potential candidates for whatever reason to be happy and then go quickly through the list to a smaller group that they want to interview face to face to identify in detail.

Second, hiring managers often use the phone interview as a method of questioning out of town candidates who do not live in the same city (or state / country), the recruitment company.

If you have a phone interview would have until you need to be adjusted tokeep a few things to consider:

The person you are interviewing you can not see (and of course she can not remember seeing either), so that they are assessing not only what you say but how you say it.

Make sure that you are in a quiet place where the telephone interview occurs.

Make sure that you answer the phone that is made at the time of the survey. Do not miss the interview!

Not be distracted during the interview. Make sure you are alone and can be distracted by anyone oranything.

If you use a cordless phone, make sure you have good reception and that it is fully charged. It is not a great idea to use a cell phone if you are sure you go to a 100% perfect reception.

As in a conversation face to face, try an idea asked by the person, what will happen next in the interview process ends before the call, that is preserved. When you hear from them? Is there a conversation face to face next?
